I posted a Jai Paul remix back then, and now here’s an original that already got a huge amount of blog love, but I don’t mind giving some more. Labyrinth Ear remixed their song “Navy Light” into a more beat-driven, electronic-friendly version — almost as good as the original. Lastly this Allen Walker re-write, I could get used to a sweet sounding Phoenix like this.

I totally did forget that today’s the blog’s anniversary.
Thank you for the all the comments, likes, or simply listening to songs and having a good time. I hope I could make some of your days better — even if just by a little — and I hope I will be able for the years to come.
For the occasion, please take this Lykke Li remix by The Magician, for I’m too exhausted to do a proper post about anything. Take care <3
P.S.: If you are wondering about the title, it’s just a pangram.
This is something different. Not only did Siriusmo remix the original into something enjoyable, but made it undeniably bipolar, which is unique, especially within the electronic genre. While the mood swings come out of the blue, they still feel natural — as opposed to huge drops or sudden screaming that other tracks try (and fail) to achieve the same effect with. A humbly groundbreaking, well overlooked track if you ask me.

RüFüS is a electronic indie trio from Sydney, who released their debut EP this month. Don’t judge by the name though: as fishy as it looks, as good as their music actually is. If you like the songs below, hear and/or buy the rest for yourself at their Bandcamp ;)

This might be my worst slacking to date, since I was sent these tracks more than a month ago, and only got to posting them now. Polen is an electrock band of four from Buenos Aires, and it’s going to be a successful one if they keep it up like this. You can buy the handful of tracks they just released over at Bandcamp.

If you like Caribou, Linkin Park, Skrillex, The Glitch Mob, Yeasayer, etc., or simply helping people in need, head over to DownloadToDonate.org and give up your lunch money to make someone’s life in Haiti a little more sufferable, and to expand your music collection at the same time.
Donating the least amount of $10 will grant you a one-year membership that comes with access to all music contributed by the said (and a lot more) artists; new songs and remixes every month.
P.S.: For those not from the U.S., you can fill out the billing information randomly, you should be able to sign up anyway.

Those who frequent Hypem might’ve already seen this in the popular section, but I’ll have a rough exam tomorrow so it’s the least of my worries now. Anyway, a proper dubstep remix by Proper Villains, it’s got beats fast and a bass down low.

I didn’t know about the film “Where The Wild Things Are”, but more importantly about its soundtrack until now. Big mistake, as it turns out the person behind it is none other than Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, so it’s certainly not the kind of OST that you listen to once and never touch again. ‘Cause of so, I can only recommend making it yours if you have a few bucks to spend at iTunes.
The story could end here, but I actually came by a rework EP of its by the artist Emay during the general research thing I do before posting, and I was pleased to hear that he didn’t ruin the originals one bit, not to mention it’s as free as the best things in life. With that said, you can still support him by buying the release at his Bandcamp.
