Barbara Streisand

Don’t get fooled by the title, this one’s a proper dance song.

Thanks goes to Tom and CrowLeY for suggesting edIT, as well as Tang for the Bibio song.

Posting “Make Love” was inevitable, bear with it.

“Sweet Love For Planet Earth” is another ten minutes long track, if you don’t think you have the patience just ignore it.

Bibio – Lover’s Carvings

Daft Punk – Make Love

Comic: pictures for sad children

Dubstep tracks tend pile up over time because there’s always something else to post. To make up for their absence, I gathered some I’ve been listening to the past month or so. (The songs are in no particular order.)

If you’d like to listen to the whole thing without having to click them one by one, here’s a player with all the tracks in it:

First up we’ve got a nice Skelley track with the vocals sampled from 300.

Skelley – Spartan Style

Zeds Dead never disappoints, the “boom” comes after a minute by the way.

Zeds Dead – Here Comes The Boom

Even though a bit repetitive, Flux Pavilion‘s “Got 2 Know” is enjoyable for sure.

Flux Pavilion – Got 2 Know

Excision and DZ, two of the most known people of the dubstep scene. With tracks like “Round 2” it’s not really a surprise.

Excision & DZ – Round 2

This is a “soft” dubstep remix (if it can even be called dubstep), but variety is never a bad thing.

Sia – Breathe Me (George Young Bass’d Out Remix)

Quality bassline, awesome vocals – Subvert is definitely doin’ it right, you can buy the Party Alarm EP here.

Subvert – Bad Magic

I know I’ve featured NiT GriT once, but the guy’s just too good not to post more from him. Buy his album if you haven’t already.

NiT GriT – 12 Gauge

Oh yes.. vintage songs – remixed or not – are just way too good. Brenda Lee recorded the original 50 years ago, and thanks to Woodhead & Blenda it won’t sink into oblivion yet.

Brenda Lee – I’m Sorry (Woodhead & Blenda Dubstep Remix)

Not fan of the vocals, but we’re talking about Nero here, which means unmatched wobble-making skills. You can purchase the high-quality version (and other tracks) here.

Nero – Innocence

It’s nine tracks so far, so I’m just gonna add this Inspector Gadget refix by Chrispy to make it ten. Thanks for listening, see you tomorrow!

The first wave of exams is over now, nothing to do this weekend but party all night long.

I saved this a long time ago for when I won’t have any time to make a post… which is now. Enjoy the Beastie Boys goodness.

Beastie Boys – Unite

Underwear

I feel ignorant when I discover great bands like FM Belfast years after they released their debut album. Better late than never though, and thanks to Stereogum I got to see this incredible video. (The good part comes at 0:35, and then it gets better and better.)

FM Belfast – Underwear

Gomma Gomma

I truly hate exams. This fact has got nothing to do with the following track by the way.

This guy is gonna be big very soon. You can help him in the progress by buying his Shlomoshun Delux LP or Shlo-Fi EP. (You can also download a 192kbps version of the latter at Error Broadcast for free.)

Khia – My Neck My Back (Shlohmo Remix)

Shlohmo – Hot Boxing The Cockpit

Shlohmo – Socks

If you’re wondering about what did just happen, welcome to the club. (It’s pretty awesome though.) Their EP is out on May 21st at Estrela Recordings.

If you’ve sent me an email and I didn’t reply I’m sorry, I’m just terribly busy these days (and I also tend to forget about them). Despite this, chillin’ suggestions via emailcommentstwitter are still welcome and appreciated.
