Oskar Schuster has sent me his latest song “Stjernen” — supported by Possimiste‘s charming vocals — the other day, and so checking up on his Soundcloud I found two of his instrumental works I missed since last time I featured him. Needless to say they are amazing.

A minimalistic but wonderful, almost theatrical song from producer-vocalist duo Whilk and Miskey.

NINETEEN is treading on the way of the soft, melodic post-dubstep with complete ease.

Might as well be an extension of Sunday; Daniele Di Martino frames Devendra Banhart‘s acoustics with a picture perfect deep house take.

Häxeri doesn’t have many tracks out, but those he has feature a selection of electronic subgenres in a way that is well worth listening to. Thanks for the suggestion goes to his friend, Gabriel.

So the new Daft Punk album stream is up via iTunes.

My very short review: Daft Punk’s producing skills are still amazing (Motherboard, Contact), their vocals are very cheesy (The Game of Love, Within, etc.), other vocals are slightly less but still cheesy (Lose Yourself to Dance, Fragments of Time, etc.), some tracks I actually found very nice (Touch, Doin’ It Right), and some eventually grew on me (Instant Crush, Get Lucky).

All in all on a normal scale it’s great, on a Daft Punk scale it’s OK, it has its handful of ups and a fair share of downs; possibly a grower. I recommend listening to it at the very least, and buying it if you like what you hear.

P.S.: All is “in my opinion”, naturally. No streams here so I won’t get persecuted.
